Read before approving trends?

Do you click through to read all of the trending posts & links before approving? I try to scan the titles, but readily admit that I dont't have the time or attention span to vet every article or source. My default is to approve all and trust that reports & moderation will catch anything I miss.

I scroll down the page and trust my brain to look for any key words that might be trouble. Past that, like you said, I rely on reports and moderation to catch bad actors and rule breakers.

I've only been an admin for about 2 weeks now and I do the same. I scroll through looking for keywords that might catch my eye and need some attention. Outside of that, I too trust that reports and moderation will catch most things.

Normally the trending link titles are enough to make a decision.
I usually ignore foreign language ones, unless I recognise the topic, and I do whitelist some domains, like the EFF, the BBC, CBC, Ars etc to make the process easier.

It's hard to keep on top of on a small instance, as not many people are going to read them anyway (shrug).
